Legacy Fighting Championship 11 features established veterans

Mick Maynard will never fault a fighter who takes an opportunity to fight in the UFC.http://secure.signup-way.com/8407/21000/ufc_tv
But the Legacy Fighting Championship promoter sure would appreciate some notice if the fighter is already booked for one of his events.
The situation arose this week when former WEC champion Jamie Varner – who was slated to fight at next week's LFC 11 event on HDNet – instead took an injury-replacement opportunity at this month's UFC 146 event.http://secure.signup-way.com/8407/21000/ufc_tv
Maynard recently told MMAjunkie.com Radio (www.mmajunkie.com/radio) he only learn about Varner's withdrawal after he logged onto MMAjunkie.com, where we passed along news that Varner (19-6-1 MMA, 1-1 UFC) has replaced injured (13-2 MMA, 6-2 UFC) and now meets Edson Barboza (10-0 MMA, 4-0 UFC) at the May 26 event http://secure.signup-way.com/8407/21000/ufc_tv
"They way I found out was through MMAjunkie.com, reading it there," Maynard said. "That's just not really the way to go about doing things. Although I'm really, really happy for him and I'm glad he's getting back in there with the UFC, there are other ways it should have been handled."http://secure.signup-way.com/8407/21000/ufc_tv
The UFC announced the Varner vs. Barboza bout late Tuesday night. Varner's reps left a message about the same time, Maynard said, but the promoter was already fast asleep and didn't get it. Again, Maynard stressed, he's happy when one of his fighters gets into the UFC. LFC middleweight champ Andrew Craig and featherweight/lightweight champ Daniel Pineda, for example, recently signed with the UFC and picked up wins on MMA's biggest stage.
It's validation the regional organization is developing top talent. But with LFC 11 taking place just next week on May 11, consideration must be given to ticket-buyers and opponents.http://secure.signup-way.com/8407/21000/ufc_tv

These two big boy are going to slug. If you like ground fighting, this might be the fight you want to go get a beverage or take a retroom break. If you luck slug fests, don’t leave your seat.http://secure.signup-way.com/8407/21000/ufc_tv
Crowe has turned into a physical specimen. He went from a portly heavyweight with zero cardio, to a lean, ripped, svelte welterweight…with zero cardio. Crowe always seems to be a bit underrated by most of us in the media. He’s always had good striking, but it has no doubt improved with his move to 4oz Fight Club and training under striking guru “The General” Bob Perez (the man responsible for the rise and success of Daniel Pineda). He’s also strong enough to hold his own on the ground (not that I think he’ll need those skills in this fight)
Mohamed is another physical freak. He’s tall, ripped and very muscular. He’s been around the scene for a while. He fought 5 times in 2006/2007 and then took FOUR YEARS off. Since coming back in 2011 he’s 1-1. His comeback fight was exciting and he looked to be on track to rise to the top of his division in Houston, but then he ran into the talented Noel Ligon and lost. Mohammed has potential, but he needs to focus more.
Both of these guys could be body double for me, but I digress.
Crowe is hell-bent on making a name for himself in MMA. Mohamed is an interesting fight for him as they both are physically gifted. Crowe can dictate where he wants the fight to take place, and despite his recent cardio issues (and he’s told me those have been corrected) more often than not he takes a fight the distance and wins. Mohamed needs to finish, and to do so he needs a KO as I don’t think he’ll be able to submit Crowe.http://secure.signup-way.com/8407/21000/ufc_tv
